He’ll run the table at billiards before you even get a shot. Hit three bullseyes with three darts. Every once in a while you meet a guy whose aim is always true. Meet Andrew Peters of Hertfordshire, UK, a graduate of Kent and Keele Universities and the renowned Merchant Taylors’ School. Andy grew up under the auspices of his greatest inspiration – Auntie Lorraine, who helped architect the railways of Colombia in the ‘50s. From her he learned about vision and daring, and when a London financial tech sales colleague suggested Japan as his next port of call, he saw his fate, jumped…and hit the Tokyo pavement in his stride. His first move was from developing apps to recruitment, and it wasn’t long before he was running his own highly successful executive search business. Fast forward fourteen years and Andy is crushing it solo, without the slightest interest in rejoining the corporate world. And then he found us. “Here I enjoy a new sense of purpose,” he says. “The Agency is a high integrity company that balances freedom and independence with teamwork and collaboration. I’m not having to be an all-in-one accountant, website developer, office manager, marketeer and salesperson anymore. Just recruiting.” With all the admin heat off him, these days Andy gets to spend more time being a family man with two beautiful kids and finding new sushi/tonkatsu restaurants. Catch him for drinks after hours at the Tokyo American Club’s Traders Bar, but don’t worry about bringing your A game. No pool tables or dartboards there.
